Diplômée d'une maîtrise en philosophie et d'un mastère en métiers du livre, j'ai, par ailleurs, une expérience de plus de 4 ans dans le domaine des cours particuliers. Mes domaines de prédilection ont toujours été les mots, la littérature, la philosophie. De plus, comme le disait également Francis Bacon, "le vrai pouvoir, c'est la connaissance". Cela souligne donc bien, d'une part, cette priorité de transmettre le savoir et, d'autre part, d'acquérir toujours plus de connaissances. Quant à la description de mes cours, je me référerais encore et toujours à une citation de Platon qui résumerait assez bien ma manière d'apprendre d'autant plus que j'ai fait mon mémoire de maîtrise sur le thème de l'éducation chez ce philosophe. "N'use pas de violence dans l'éducation des enfants mais fais en sorte qu'ils s'instruisent en jouant: tu pourras, par là, mieux discerner les dispositions naturelles de chacun". Ainsi, j'adapterai ensuite mes cours selon la progression individuelle de mes "protégés" car personne n'avance au même rythme et, en tout cas, pas sur le même mode d'apprentissage. C'est d'ailleurs pour cette raison que j'ai préféré me tourner vers cette façon d'enseigner car, dans une classe entière, les élèves doivent se plier aux exigences du programme imposé au même rythme pour tous. C'est justement pour pallier les problèmes que rencontrent les professeurs dans les établissements scolaires, faute de temps et face à des classes en sureffectif, que la tâche de l'enseignant particulier prend alors tout son sens. Être professeur particulier, c'est nouer une relation privilégiée avec chacun des élèves que j'aurai alors le plaisir de me voir confier. Aussi, bien plus qu'une fonction, je parlerais bien plutôt d'une vocation car il faut être passionné pour aimer apprendre. Or, c'est tout naturellement que nous le faisons quand nous avons le sens de la pédagogie, avec un petit supplément d'empathie pour pouvoir ressentir et comprendre les émotions, les pensées pour mieux anticiper le mode de fonctionnement, de compréhension de chaque élève. C'est bien moi qui adapterai donc mes cours à chacun et non l'inverse d'autant plus que c'est déjà ce qui est demandé en classe pour former un groupe homogène. Ici, c'est bel et bien l'individualité de chacun qui sera respectée pour pouvoir mieux progresser. Pour décrire mes cours, nous partirons à la découverte des mythes platoniciens qui ont été à l'origine de nombreux concepts et qui permettent d'aborder la philosophie avec plaisir car elle peut parfois effrayer avant même d'avoir été abordée alors qu'elle est une véritable ouverture de pensée sur le monde, sur les autres ainsi que nous-mêmes. Elle est à la fois problème et explication, ce qui peut la rendre aussi complexe. Elle nous permet de nous exprimer et de trouver des thèses et explications qui prennent sens dans notre compréhension du monde et c'est ce qui peut également être observé avec les cours de français où nous découvrirons et approfondirons les différents courants littéraires. Tout en travaillant la méthode des exercices, nous reverrons donc toutes les notions et tous les concepts importants des cours, que ce soit en français comme en philosophie. Enfin, pour répondre à la question "pourquoi un élève devrait-il me choisir en tant qu'enseignante à la place d'un autre", ce serait bien plutôt à l'étudiant qu'il conviendrait de demander ce qu'il rechercherait comme qualités essentielles chez l'enseignant dans la mesure où nous sommes tous différents et nous sommes justement sujets à des émotions différentes. Ainsi, un enseignant peut convenir à un élève et pas à un autre. Néanmoins, si je devais me décrire en un seul mot, je dirais tout de même que j'ai, de manière générale, de l'empathie.
